All parks have electrical service, restrooms, barbeque grills, picnic tables, playground equipment, and pavilions. Park hours are posted and pets are not allowed. Pavilions at Ridge Road Park and Jones Road park cannot be reserved. They are on a first come-first serve basis. Baseball diamonds can be reserved by calling the Township Administrative Offices at: 989-893-7541.
Ridge Road Park is located on the north side of Ridge Road just west of Pine Street. This 6 acre parcel is developed with 1 ball diamond, playground equipment and a picnic area with two pavilions. Jones Road Park is located on a 30 acre parcel at the northwest corner of Ridge and Jones Roads. This facility was constructed as a joint park and storm water retention basin. About 5 acres is a permanent basin and another 5 to 10 acres are flooded during the spring thaw. Major facilities include 2 ball diamonds, 4 lighted tennis courts, playground and a picnic area with pavilion.
 Finn Road Park and Campground, located 2 1/4 miles north of M-25 at the end of Finn Road on the Saginaw Bay. Activities include a small boat launch
(plans to dredge the launch are in the works), a bath house, pavilion, handicap fishing pier, camping facilities with water, 30 amp electric & sewer, and a dump station for recreational vehicles..
Campground News:
The Finn Road Park and Campground will be opening May 1st. Reservations can
be made beginning May 1st. To make a reservation, please contact the Park

2006 Campground Fees

For the golfing enthusiast, the Bay County Golf Course is the place for you. Located on Hampton Road, just west of Knight Road. This beautiful 18 hole course has watered fairways and a clubhouse. It is open to the public for all to enjoy.
Riverwalk/Railtrail The Riverwalk and Railtrail provides 9.5 miles of non-motorized pathways that run along the riverfront in Veteran's Memorial Park through urban areas of Bay City, and through rural and residential areas of Portsmouth and Hampton Townships. The trails are used by thousands annually and are handicapped accessible. There are no trail fees and everyone is welcome to enjoy the fresh air and striking scenery along the trail. New Happenings:
A Barge and Push Boat
are being constructed by the DPW to aid in the removal of sediment that has
accumulated over the winter at the mouth of the Finn Road channel. Having
Township equipment on site will the DPW to keep up on the maintenance of the
channel which gives boats access to the Saginaw Bay.
Campground Expansion
of 13 new sites is underway. 6 sites will have 50 amp service with
asphalt or concrete pads, 4 additional tent sites and 3 additional 50 amp
service gravel sites are being added.
